NICHOLAS ROBERT ORTIZ

Howdy partner,

Born in the heat of the south Texas sun, Nicholas found his latino roots from the stem of a small business owning mother and a law enforcement father. Hoping to pass on the traits of their hard work and dedication- Nick turned too… playing pretend.

After receiving his BFA in Acting from Texas State University, Classically trained (The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Globe) Nicholas, went on to play leads in a wide range of theatre: A View from the Bridge,  Boeing Boeing,  Water by The Spoonful,  Richard III, and  Jesus Hopped The 'A' Train. Nicholas left San Antonio, Texas and landed in New York City in May of 2016; a day after graduating, with only 3 nights in a hotel, 2 suitcases, and a 1 way ticket. A bold move that still makes his family of Law Enforcement officers chuckle. Thats okay, people used to laugh at the Spurs too.

In his time in New York, Nick has Performed in Regional Theater productions- Anna in the Tropics, BARNUM: the Circus Musical, Measure for Measure, The Curious incident of the dog in the night-time, and the hilarious adaptation of Pride and Prejudice by Kate Hamill. As well as off-off Broadway plays making their New York City debuts such as "D.O.C." at the Guild Theater, "All About Power" performed at the Duo Multicultural Arts Center, and "La Gota Fria" at the historic Thalia Spanish Theater. You can also see Nick on tv on “The Food that Built America” on the history channel as well as “Secrets Exposed”on Lifetime.

From an incarcerated Killer to a Cuban Prostitute in the White house- Nicholas is your man.
